Jordan Floyd of King Named to 2020 NABC Coaches’ Division II All-America Team
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Jordan Floyd of King has been selected to the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Division II All-America team.
Selected and voted on by member coaches of the NABC in Division II, these student-athletes represent the most outstanding basketball players across America in NCAA Division II.
Floyd becomes the second Tornado to earn All-America honors and first since King became NCAA Division II members in 2010-11. He joins Torrington Cox as the only players in program history to earn All-America honors. Cox was selected to the NAIA third team in 2008 and honorable mention in 2007.
The Conference Carolinas Player of the Year and the Division II Conference Commissioners Association Men's Basketball Southeast Regional Player of the Year, Floyd finished his impressive senior campaign averaging an NCAA Division II-best 31.9 points per game for King. Floyd shot 50.3 percent from the field and 42.6 percent from beyond the arc in scoring over 30 points per game. He also knocked down 81.3 percent of his free throw attempts. The senior guard from Stone Mountain, Ga. also dished out 2.7 assists per game and brought down 4.1 boards per game.
