Abrom and Floyd Chosen to Division II College All-Star Game
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - DeQuan Abrom of Belmont Abbey and Jordan Floyd of King have been selected to the 2020 Division II College All-Star Game.
While the 2020 Division II College All-Star Game has been canceled due to the coronavirus, the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) felt it was appropriate to still recognize the All-Stars for their oustanding seasons.
Abrom was second in Conference Carolinas and fifth nationally with 25.6 points per game. He also brought down 5.3 rebounds and dished out 2.0 assists per game. The 2018-19 Conference Carolinas Player of the Year finished his illustrious career at Belmont Abbey with 2,171 points. Abrom was an NABC and a Division II Conference Commissioners Association Men’s Basketball All-Southeast Region choice.
The Ron Lenz National Player of the Year, the Conference Carolinas Player of the Year and the Division II Conference Commissioners Association Men's Basketball Southeast Region Player of the Year, Floyd finished his impressive senior campaign averaging an NCAA Division II-best 31.9 points per game for King. Floyd shot 50.3 percent from the field and 42.6 percent from beyond the arc in scoring over 30 points per game. He also knocked down 81.3 percent of his free throw attempts. The senior guard from Stone Mountain, Ga. also dished out 2.7 assists per game and brought down 4.1 boards per game.
