Conference Carolinas Recognizes Winter Elite 23 Award Winners
GREENVILLE, S.C. – Conference Carolinas recognized its winter Elite 23 Award Winners during its winter championships season.
Salem’s Chloe Smart picked up the award in women’s swimming with a grade-point average of 4.00. Austin Kephart of Salem earned the honor in men’s swimming with a perfect GPA of 4.00.
In men’s indoor track & field, North Greenville’s Zachary Delaney collected the prestigious honor with a grade-point average of 4.00. Anna Bulsa of North Greenville garnered the women’s indoor track & field Elite 23 Award with a 4.00 GPA.
In women’s basketball, Belmont Abbey’s Maria Kuhlman picked up the honor with a 3.99 grade-point average. In men’s basketball, Emmanuel’s Marcus Wilson secured the Elite 23 Award with a 3.917 GPA.
Emmanuel’s Seth Bell earned the South Atlantic Conference Carolinas Men’s Wrestling Academic Excellence Award with a grade-point average of 3.806.
The Elite 23 Award honors Conference Carolinas student-athletes with the highest cumulative grade-point average at their respective championship site. The award is modeled after the NCAA's Elite 90 Award and it allows all student-athletes at the final championship site to win the award.
