South Atlantic Conference Carolinas Men's Wrestling Announces Addition of Lander

GREENVILLE, S.C. – Conference Carolinas and the South Atlantic Conference announced on Thursday, June 4, that Lander will join the co-branded South Atlantic Conference Carolinas in the 2020-21 academic year.

South Atlantic Conference Carolinas men’s wrestling in the upcoming 2020-21 season will now feature nine programs in Belmont Abbey, Coker, Emmanuel, King, Lander, Limestone, Mount Olive, Newberry and Queens. 

The upcoming academic year will also serve as the third season for South Atlantic Conference Carolinas men’s wrestling. 

“We are thrilled to welcome Lander to our unique collaboration for men’s wrestling with the South Atlantic Conference,” Conference Carolinas Commissioner Chris Colvin said. “This joint partnership has flourished over its first two years and we look forward to continuing to see it grow in the years to come.” 

Lander joins the South Atlantic Conference Carolinas men’s wrestling joint partnership after completing its inaugural season in the 2019-20 academic year. 

"We're very excited to have our wrestling program join South Atlantic Conference Carolinas men’s wrestling,” Lander Director of Athletics Brian Reese said. “We think it's an excellent partnership and we appreciate the help of everyone who made this happen.”
