Colvin Unveils Addition of Jordan Ashby as External Relations Officer
GREENVILLE, S.C. – Conference Carolinas Commissioner Chris Colvin unveiled the addition of Jordan Ashby as an External Relations Officer for the 2020-21 academic year.
Ashby joins the Conference Carolinas office after most recently serving as the Assistant Director of Graphic Design and Recruiting for the Wofford College football program.
“We are thrilled to have Jordan join our staff,” Commissioner Colvin said. “Jordan worked with us this past academic year at the Conference Carolinas Basketball Championships and she comes very highly recommended from our friends at Wofford. She has a strong background in numerous areas. We look forward to her being a part of our team and everyone in Conference Carolinas having the chance to work with her in the upcoming academic year.”
During her almost two years working with the Wofford football program, Ashby helped with the overall strategic communications plan for the program. She designed marketing and recruiting graphics and filmed, directed and edited video for Wofford football on social media. She helped to increase Twitter followers by over 11,000 during her time with the program. The Terrier football program ranked among the top 20 in all of FCS Football for Twitter interaction.
In addition, Ashby worked with the Wofford and USC Upstate athletics communications departments during her time as a student at Wofford. She helped with stats in women’s volleyball, men’s basketball and women’s lacrosse at Wofford and she was the stat caller for USC Upstate men’s and women’s basketball.
Ashby graduated in 2020 from Wofford with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English with a concentration in Film and Digital Media.
“I am excited to work in the athletic field with a conference that truly believes in leading the way through their commitment to building champions in body, mind and soul,” Ashby said. “I am thankful to Commissioner Colvin for this tremendous opportunity and I look forward to learning from everyone on our staff. I cannot wait to continue to work to enhance the student-athlete experience in Conference Carolinas.”
