Six Conference Carolinas Teams Honored With United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Four women’s teams and two men’s teams from Conference Carolinas earned the United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award for the 2019-20 academic year.
 
A total of 945 college teams (358 men, 587 women) earned the Team Academic Award, including 207 schools who had both their men’s and women’s programs recognized.
 
In women’s soccer, Belmont Abbey, Chowan, Lees-McRae and North Greenville all garnered the honor, while in men’s soccer both Chowan and King earned the honor from the United Soccer Coaches. In addition, former league member Limestone men's soccer was honored for their efforts in the classroom. 
 
United Soccer Coaches annually celebrates the academic achievements of high school and college soccer teams whose student-athletes collectively demonstrate a commitment to excellence in their studies over the course of a full academic year.
 
College Team Academic Award recipients are active members of the United Soccer Coaches College Services Program with a composite grade-point average of 3.0 or better on a 4.0 scale for all players on the roster for the 2019-20 academic year.
