Joshua Kim of King and Brennan Davis of Belmont Abbey Earn Men’s Volleyball Weekly Honors
GREENVILLE, S.C. – Joshua Kim of King and Brennan Davis of Belmont Abbey earned the Conference Carolinas men’s volleyball weekly honors.
Kim was selected as the Player of the Week, while Davis picked up Specialist of the Week accolades.
A senior right side from Garden Grove, California, Kim had a tremendous start to the season in King’s two-match road sweep of NCAA Division I opponent Saint Francis (Pa.). Kim had 18 kills, 11 digs and two blocks in King’s win on Friday, Jan. 22 before posting 19 kills and seven digs in the second match victory on Saturday, Jan. 23. For the week, Kim hit an impressive .342 with an average of 4.11 kills per set. He also had four service aces in the two matches. Kim was also named the National Opposite of the Week by
Off The Block.
A senior setter from Manahawkin, New Jersey, Davis paced Belmont Abbey to a .299 hitting percentage in its season-opening 3-1 win over former league rival Limestone. Davis dished out 40 assists to go along with five digs and one kill.
