Conference Carolinas Remains Strong in National and Regional Rankings

GREENVILLE, S.C. Conference Carolinas continues to have a strong presence both regionally and nationally in the sports of men’s and women’s soccer, men’s and women’s swimming, men’s and women’s cross country and men's golf. 

Chowan men’s soccer program climbed two spots to No. 19 in the United Soccer Coaches Top 25 NCAA DII Men’s Soccer National Poll. The Hawks are 7-2-0 on the season and are currently ranked third in the Southeast Region Poll. Mount Olive improved to eighth in the region with a 9-3-0 record. The full rankings can be viewed here

On the women’s side of the pitch, UNC Pembroke remains eighth in the Southeast with a 8-3-0 record while Mount Olive is 10th at 9-0-2. The full rankings are available here

On the course, Emmanuel men’s cross country leads all conference institutions with a sixth-place ranking in the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Southeast Region rankings. They are joined by conference foes Mount Olive (9th) and UNC Pembroke (10th). The national rankings can be viewed here with regional rankings located here

UNC Pembroke is the lone women’s program in the USTFCCCA rankings and they are eighth in the region. The women’s national poll is here while the regional rankings are available here.

In the SwimCloud men’s swimming top-30 rankings on Wednesday, Oct. 13, Emmanuel leads the way in 14th with 576.65 dual points while Barton is 29th with 528.35 points. On the women’s side, UNC Pembroke leads Conference Carolinas teams in 19th with 567.20 points and Barton is 28th with 516.45 points. Full rankings are available here

The Bushnell/Golfweek Division II Coaches’ Poll was released on Oct. 8 and Erskine men’s golf was ranked 16th with 143 points. The full release can be found here. In the GolfStat Team Rankings Erskine is fifth, Belmont Abbey is 15th and Barton is 19th. The full rankings are available here.
