South Atlantic Conference Carolinas Men’s Wrestling Well Represented in Preseason Poll

MANHEIM, Pa. – The preseason edition of the National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) DII Coaches Poll was released on Friday, Oct. 15 and four South Atlantic Conference Carolinas institutions are ranked in the top-25 while three others are receiving votes. 
 
Conference newcomer UNC Pembroke led the league in 19th with 20 total points and three ranked individuals. Newberry is ranked 22nd with 14 points and three individual rankings while Belmont Abbey and King are in a three-way tie for 24th with 13 points. Belmont Abbey has two individuals ranked while King has one. 
 
The three teams that received votes in the poll are Lander (5), Queens (3) and Limestone (2). 
 
In all, 15 individuals are ranked from the conference across nine of the 10 weight classes. Nick Daggett of UNC Pembroke is the top-ranked South Atlantic Conference Carolinas wrestler. He is ranked second at 125 pounds. The other individual rankings can be found below.
