Three Conference Carolinas Teams in First Women’s Soccer Southeast Region Rankings
INDIANAPOLIS – Three Conference Carolinas women’s soccer programs are ranked among the top 10 in the inaugural NCAA Division II Southeast Region rankings of the 2021 fall season.
UNC Pembroke (12-3-0, 10-0-0 Conference Carolinas) is ranked seventh in in the initial rankings, while North Greenville (10-3-4, 9-1-2 Conference Carolinas) is ninth and Mount Olive (12-0-2, 9-0-1 Conference Carolinas) is 10
th in the first official region rankings.
The 2021 NCAA Division II Women’s Soccer Championship will include 56 teams with eight from the Southeast Region advancing to the tournament.
The Southeast Region features three automatic bids with the winners of the Conference Carolinas, Peach Belt Conference and South Atlantic Conference tournaments earning automatic berths to the 2021 NCAA Division II Women’s Soccer Tournament. The rest of the selections will be at-large choices.
