Makenna Pallozzi of Belmont Abbey Captures Women’s Cross Country Runner of the Week Honors

GREENVILLE, S.C. Makenna Pallozzi of Belmont Abbey has been named the Conference Carolinas Runner of the Week for women’s cross country for the week ending Oct. 3.
 
A sophomore from Belmont, North Carolina, Pallozzi won a collegiate event for the first time in her career as she captured individual honors at the Koala Cross Country Classic.
 
Pallozzi covered the 6K course in 23:16.5, which was nearly 10 seconds faster than the runner-up. The time was a personal-best and third-fastest in school history. She also helped lead the Crusaders to a second-place team finish.
