South Atlantic Conference Carolinas Announces Field Hockey Players of the Week

ROCK HILL, S.C. – South Atlantic Conference Carolinas announced its Field Hockey Players of the Week for matches played during the fifth weekend of the season. Converse's Lotte Kanters was named Offensive Player of the Week while Newberry's Erin Robbins was named Defensive Player of the Week. 

Kanters, a freshman from Loosdrecht, Netherlands, helped lead the Valkyries to a 2-1 record after facing Newberry, Limestone and Coker this past week. Overall, she scored three goals, garnering seven points with 10 shots on goal for a .300 shooting percentage. This is the first Offensive Player of the Week honor for Kanters.

Robbins, a senior defender from Ballston Lake, N.Y., was an instrumental part in Newberry's victories over conference opponents this past weekend. She had two defensive saves while also forcing multiple turnovers. This is the first Defensive Player of the Week award for Robbins.
