FLORENCE, S.C.The 2021 Conference Carolinas Fall Men’s and Women’s Soccer Championships are set to return to the Florence Soccer Complex as the event semifinals take place on Friday, Nov. 12. 
 
For gender equity, unlike earlier this spring the men’s soccer tournament will play ahead of the women’s with games scheduled for 11 a.m., 1:30 p.m., 4:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. After an off day, the tournament championships will take place on Sunday, Nov. 14 with the men at 1 p.m. followed by the women at 4 p.m.

Tickets are available exclusively online via corporate partner HomeTown Ticketing. The cost for admission is $8 per person and is available for the entire day of competition. Children ages 6 and under and Conference Carolinas students with a valid student ID will be admitted for free. Cash will not be accepted at the venue.
 
The top three seeds remain alive in the men’s bracket headlined by top-seed and regular-season champion Francis Marion, led by Conference Carolinas Coach of the Year Luis Rincon and nine all-conference selections. They will be opposed by eighth-seeded and reigning tournament champion Belmont Abbey on Friday at 11 a.m. The Crusaders earned a pair of 1-0 road victories to advance to the semifinals.
 
In the second men’s semifinal No. 2 seed Chowan will take on third-seeded Mount Olive at 1:30 p.m. The Hawks are led by Conference Carolinas Defender of the Year Toby Sims and seven other all-conference selections including goalkeeper Charlie Farrar. The Trojans earned their spot in the semifinals thanks to an impressive goal in the final minute of regulation in a 2-1 quarterfinal win over North Greenville. That goal came off the head of Conference Carolinas Offensive Player of the Year Alfie Pope who was joined on the all-conference list by five other Trojans. 
 
In the women’s bracket, top-seed and regular-season champion Mount Olive opens play against No. 5 Belmont Abbey at 4:30 p.m. The Trojans won their second consecutive regular-season title (2019) and are the two-time defending tournament champions. They are led by Conference Carolinas Defensive Player of the Year Shaunalee Govia and six all-conference performers. The Crusaders earned a 2-0 win over Emmanuel in the first round and defeated No. 4 Lees-McRae, 1-0, in overtime on the road in the quarterfinals. They are led by a trio of all-conference players including first-team honorees forward Goose Andrews and goalkeeper Lauryn Harding. 
 
The final semifinal matchup pits No. 2 UNC Pembroke against No. 3 North Greenville at 7 p.m. The Braves are led by Offensive Player of the Year Rilee Seering and Freshman of the Year Anna Grossheim as well as four other all-conference selections. The Crusaders played No. 6 Barton to a 3-3 tie and won in penalty kicks, 5-3, in the quarterfinals to advance to Friday night. They are led by six all-conference selections including first-team defender Ansley Robinson and third-team goalkeeper Lizzy Luzzi.
