FLORENCE, S.C. – The top two seeds pitched a pair of shutouts in the 2021 Fall Conference Carolinas Women’s Soccer Championship semifinals on Friday night to advance to the tournament championship on Sunday, Nov. 14 at 4 p.m. at the Florence Soccer Complex.

The first semifinal was all about first team all-conference forward Jasmine Pinter. The junior from Baltimore, Maryland dished out an assist on the game’s opening goal as Nya Baccelli found the back of the net in the 12th minute. Seven minutes later, Pinter drilled a ball into the upper left corner for the 2-0 lead with an assist from Ashley Kerekes. The Trojans outshot the Crusaders 24-9 in the contest with a 7-5 edge in shots on goal while Mount Olive attempted the only five corner kicks in the contest. Mount Olive has won the last two straight regular-season titles (2019, Fall 2021) and is seeking the program’s third consecutive conference tournament crown.

In the second semifinal, second-seeded UNC Pembroke netted a goal on a counter in the 42nd minute off the foot of Fall 2021 Conference Carolinas Offensive Player of the Year Riley Seering. The Braves dominated much of the first half, but No. 3 seed North Greenville battled into the second half and had several opportunities at the equalizer, but could not break through. For the game, UNCP tallied 24 shots with 15 on goal while the Crusaders attempted 15 shots with three on frame. The Braves also attempted 12 of the game's 18 corner kicks. This will be UNC Pembroke’s first appearance in the Conference Carolinas Women’s Soccer Tournament Championship since rejoining the league this fall.

The Trojans beat the Braves 2-1 on October 27 in Pembroke, North Carolina that earned Mount Olive the No. 1 seed in the tournament.
