Caitlyn Faber of Belmont Abbey and Kaylee Gillespie of Francis Marion Collect Women’s Volleyball Weekly Honors
GREENVILLE, S.C. – Caitlyn Faber of Belmont Abbey and Kaylee Gillespie of Francis Marion have collected the weekly honors for Conference Carolinas women’s volleyball for the week ending Nov. 14.
Faber earns Player of the Week honors for the first time this season, while Gillespie was chosen as the Specialist of the Week for the third time this season.
A junior from Pompano Beach, Florida, Faber finished Belmont Abbey’s win over King with 15 kills and 11 digs while hitting .452 with just one error in 31 attempts. She collected her seventh double-double of the season in the match. In addition, Faber added three service aces, two blocks and two assists in the Belmont Abbey victory.
A sophomore from Pickens, South Carolina, Gillespie recorded her 15
th double-double with 49 assists and 16 digs in a huge victory over UNC Pembroke. She also added two kills, one ace and one block in the East Division-clinching victory for Francis Marion.
