Rankings Update: Conference Carolinas Remains Well Represented in Regional and National Polls
GREENVILLE, S.C. – As the seasons change Conference Carolinas continues to have a strong presence across both regional and national polls in several sports.
The Women’s Basketball Coaches Association released the first Division II Top 25 regular-season poll of the 2021-22 season and Barton moved up to No. 21 with 111 points. In the Division II Sports Information Directors of America (D2SIDA) Women’s Basketball Poll Barton received votes and was ranked fifth in the Southeast Region while Belmont Abbey is ranked seventh in the region. The National Association of Basketball Coaches released the first regular-season poll of the 2021-22 season and UNC Pembroke was the fourth team receiving votes. In the men’s basketball D2SIDA Preseason Poll UNC Pembroke is ranked 16th with 134 points and second in the Southeast Region. Emmanuel (5th) and Belmont Abbey (T8th) joined the Braves in the poll while King received votes in the region. The NABC poll is available here while the D2SIDA polls can be found

In the SwimCloud men’s swimming top-50 dual rankings on Wednesday, Nov. 24, Emmanuel has climbed to ninth with 710.60 points, Lees-McRae is 43rd (593.40) and Barton is 46th (580.45). On the women’s side, Emmanuel leads Conference Carolinas teams in 40th with 597.95 points with UNC Pembroke is 41st (596.80), Lees-McRae in 44th (592.25) and Barton is 46th (583.55). In the latest Golfstat rankings, the Belmont Abbey men’s team ranks 16th while Erskine is 20th and Barton is 23rd. The full rankings are available here.
The Intercollegiate Tennis Association announced the Division II Regional Rankings earlier this week and Armando Ferreira of Mount Olive is ranked 17 in the men’s Southeast Region while Emma Bentz of Erskine is ranked 15th in the women’s Southeast Region.
