Tess Larsson of King Selected Women’s Golf Freshman of the Month for October
GREENVILLE, S.C. – Tess Larsson of King has been selected as the Conference Carolinas Freshman of the Month for women’s golf for October of 2021.
The freshman from Halmstad, Sweden had a career month for the Tornado and helped lead the team to a pair of top-8 finishes. She began the month with rounds of 83 and 81 for a tournament total of 164 at the Patsy Rendleman Invitational to take 56th. She then posted her best tournament score of the season, 153, to finish 15th at the Music City Invitational. Larsson carded an 81 in the opening round before firing a career-low round of even-par 72 in the second round.
Conference Carolinas recently announced the addition of the Freshman of the Month award for all sports beginning this fall.
Each month, the conference office will select a freshman student-athlete who has excelled in competition. Each sport will have a student-athlete honored during their regular season of competition.
