GREENVILLE, S.C. – Lorrie Decker of Lincoln Memorial has been selected as the Conference Carolinas Freshman of the Month for women's bowling for October of 2021. 
 
The freshman from Van Wert, Ohio is the only winner of Conference Carolinas Women's Bowler of the Week in the awards first season. In the Lady Railsplitters first meet of the season Decker led them to a top eight finish as a team at the Colonial Lanes Classic in Harahan, Louisiana. Decker recorded her first collegiate appearance and top 10 finish as she placed eighth overall for the tournament. She collected 1,089 pins over five individual games for a 217.80 average. She had four 200-plus games with a high of 236.

Decker closed the month by leading the Lady Railsplitters to a team title at the Valpo Bowling Classic at Stardust Bowl III. Decker finished second in the individual event and earned All-Tournament team recognition as she collected 1,057 pins over five individual games for a 211.40 average. She had three 200-plus games with a high of 245.
