Rankings Update: Conference Carolinas Well Represented in Weekly Polls
GREENVILLE, S.C. – Conference Carolinas remained well represented in final fall polls and winter regional and national regular-season polls in the latest weekly rankings.
Earlier this week the United Soccer Coaches Association released their Final Poll of the 2021 season and Chowan was 14th after their NCAA Sweet 16 appearance. It is the first time a Hawks program has finished ranked in the top-25 in any sport during their NCAA era.
The Women’s Basketball Coaches Association released the fourth Division II Top 25 regular-season poll of the 2021-22 season and Barton remained No. 25 with 49 points. In the Division II Sports Information Directors of America (D2SIDA) Women’s Basketball Poll Barton is sixth in the Southeast Region with 29 points just ahead of Belmont Abbey in seventh with 17 points and Mount Olive in eighth with 15 points. The National Association of Basketball Coaches released the third regular-season poll of the 2021-22 season with Emmanuel and UNC Pembroke each receiving votes. In the men’s basketball D2SIDA Preseason Poll UNC Pembroke received votes and was tied for third in the Southeast Region with Queens (N.C.) with 40 points. Emmanuel slipped to sixth with 31 points while Lees-McRae continued to receive votes in the region. The NABC poll is available here while the D2SIDA polls can be found

In the pool, the second regular-season College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) poll was released this week and Emmanuel climbed to 12th in the men’s poll with 86 points. The complete poll is available here.
