Chowan’s Postseason Run Ends in NCAA Division II Men’s Soccer Third Round

BOX SCORE | YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. – Super-Region 2 sixth-seeded Chowan saw its historic season come to an end in the NCAA Division II Men’s Soccer Third Round on Thursday, Dec. 2 in a 1-0 loss to No. 2 seed Nova Southeastern. 
 
It was an evenly matched contest that was scoreless at the half with Nova Southeastern holding a slight 3-2 edge in shots. The Sharks also had three of their four corner kicks in the opening 45. 
 
In the second half, Chowan took three shots with two on frame while NSU took seven shots with three on goal. Unfortunately for the Hawks one of those found the net in the 51st minute as the Sharks knocked in a rebound for the 1-0 lead. Chowan had all five of their corner kicks in the final 45, but could not find the equalizer.
