The National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) released the first Division II wrestling regular-season rankings of the 2021-22 season and South Atlantic Conference Carolinas was well represented. UNC Pembroke leads the way at No. 18 with 22 points with King 21st with 17 points and Belmont Abbey 22nd with 16 points. All three programs have a pair of ranked wrestlers. Newberry, Queens, Lander, Limestone and Coker each received votes in the poll. The full poll is available here.
In the NWCA individual rankings, Nick Daggett (UNC Pembroke) and Christian Small (King) were each ranked No. 2 at 125 and 141 pounds, respectively. Mitch Dean of Belmont Abbey was also ranked in the top three as No. 3 at 165 pounds. The individual rankings can be seen here.
