United Soccer Coaches All-Region Teams Feature 11 from Conference Carolinas
GREENVILLE, S.C. - The United Soccer Coaches released the 2021 NCAA Division II All-Region Teams and Conference Carolinas had 11 student-athletes from three institutions earn recognition.
In women’s soccer, Conference Carolinas Player of the Year, Rilee Seering, was a first team selection while her teammate and Conference Carolinas Freshman of the Year Anna Grossheim was named to the second team.
North Greenville also had two student-athletes on the second team in Conference Carolinas first team defender Ansley Robinson and all-conference second team forward Romee Contreas.
Three-time Conference Carolinas Defensive Player of the Year Shaunalee Govia represented Mount Olive as a second team selection.
On the men’s side, three-time Conference Carolinas Defensive Player of the Year Toby Sims of Chowan and fellow first team all-conference defender Sam Pollard of Francis Marion were named to the first team.
Francis Marion midfielder Alvaro Zamora, a first team all-conference selection, was the lone second team honoree while three others earned third team honors.
Conference Carolinas Player of the Year Alfie Pope of Mount Olive was a third team forward and was joined by Francis Marion midfielder Oliver Peters and Chowan midfielder Harri Lovett.
