McKenzie Connor of Mount Olive and Zai Fraser of Lees-McRae Collect Women’s Indoor Track & Field Weekly Honors
GREENVILLE, S.C. - McKenzie Connor of Mount Olive and Zai Fraser of Lees-McRae have earned the weekly awards for Conference Carolinas women’s indoor track & field.
Connor collected Track Athlete of the Week honors, while Fraser earned Field Athlete of the Week accolades.
A freshman from Irmo, South Carolina, Connor collected the top 60mh time in Conference Carolinas this season at the VMI Winter Classic with a time of 8.82. The time is one of the top-15 bests in the event in all of NCAA Division II.
A freshman from Pensacola, Florida, Fraser broke the Lees-McRae indoor record in the triple jump with a mark of 11.43 meters at the VMI Winter Classic. The mark is the best in Conference Carolinas so far this season and seventh-best among all freshmen. Fraser also picked up the second-best long jump (5.46m) this season in Conference Carolinas at the VMI Winter Classic. It’s the 11
th-best mark among freshmen in NCAA Division II.
