KJ Jones II of Emmanuel and Quay Kimble of Lees-McRae Named Men's Basketball Weekly Award Winners
GREENVILLE, S.C. - KJ Jones II of Emmanuel and Quay Kimble of Lees-McRae have earned the weekly honors for Conference Carolinas men's basketball.
Jones was named the Player of the Week for the third time this season, while Kimble was selected as the Defensive Player of the Week.
A sophomore from Atlanta, Jones averaged 23.5 points, seven rebounds, 3.25 assists and two steals per game in four wins last week for Emmanuel. Jones was lethal from the charity stripe last week where he went 42-of-43 (98 percent) in the four wins for league-leading Emmanuel.
A senior from Shelby, North Carolina, Kimble averaged 5.5 rebounds and 3.5 steals per game last week for the Bobcats. He also averaged 13.5 points per game last week for Lees-McRae.
