Bodin Nichols of Barton and Andrew Avarello of Mount Olive Collect Men's Lacrosse Weekly Awards
GREENVILLE, S.C. - Bodin Nichols of Barton and Andrew Avarello of Mount Olive have picked up the men's lacrosse weekly honors for Conference Carolinas.
Nichols was tabbed as the Offensive Player of the Week, while Avarello earned Defensive Player of the Week plaudits.
A senior midfielder from Brainerd, Minnesota, Nichols tallied five goals and one assist in Barton's 15-14 win over Anderson this past weekend. Nichols netted the game-winning goal in the contest with under two minutes to play.
A senior goalkeeper from Clarence, New York, Avarello made 17 saves in two wins last week for nationally-ranked Mount Olive. He first made 11 saves and picked up three ground balls in Mount Olive's win over Catawba. He then made six saves in Mount Olive's win over Queens. He had a .
