Conference Carolinas Releases 2020-21 Men’s Basketball All-Conference Awards
GREENVILLE, S.C. - Conference Carolinas released its 2020-21 men's basketball awards ahead of the start of the 2021 Men's Basketball Championship on Tuesday, March 2, 2021.
The 2020-21 all-conference awards were chosen by the league's head coaches.
Sophomore standout KJ Jones II was tabbed as the Player of the Year in Conference Carolinas men's basketball. The guard from Atlanta is the first from Emmanuel to be named Men's Basketball Player of the Year.
Chowan junior guard Jonathan McFall was selected as the Defensive Player of the Year. The Nassau, Bahamas native is the first from Chowan to collect Defensive Player of the Year honors in Conference Carolinas.
Belmont Abbey freshman Chandler Baker was tabbed as the Freshman of the Year. According to Conference Carolinas records, the guard from Woodstock, Georgia is the first freshman from Belmont Abbey to earn the award since Richard Barbee collected the honor in the 2007-08 season.
Emmanuel head coach TJ Rosene was chosen as the Conference Carolinas Men's Basketball Coach of the Year for the second time in his career. He was also named Coach of the Year in the 2018-19 campaign.
