Conference Carolinas Unveils 2020-21 Women’s Basketball All-Conference Awards

GREENVILLE, S.C. – Conference Carolinas unveiled its 2020-21 women’s basketball awards ahead of the start of the 2021 Women’s Basketball Championship on Tuesday, March 2, 2021.
 
The 2020-21 all-conference awards were chosen by the league’s head coaches.
 
Barton’s Shanika Peterkin was chosen as the Player of the Year and the Defensive Player of the Year for the second straight year. The senior center from Virginia Beach, Virginia has now been named the Defensive Player of the Year for all four of her seasons with Barton.
 
Keyshuna Fair of Converse was selected as the Freshman of the Year, while Jason Williams of Belmont Abbey was named the Coach of the Year for the second straight year. Fair is Converse's first-ever Conference Carolinas Women's Basketball Freshman of the Year according to conference records. Williams has now been named Conference Carolinas Women's Basketball Coach of the Year four times.
