Jami Tham-Morrobel and Shanika Peterkin of Barton Named Weekly Award Winners for Women’s Basketball
GREENVILLE, S.C. – Jami Tham-Morrobel and Shanika Peterkin of Barton have been awarded the weekly honors for Conference Carolinas women’s basketball.
Tham-Morrobel was selected as the Player of the Week, while Peterkin earned Defensive Player of the Week honors.
Tham-Morrobel finished Barton’s win over North Greenville with 26 points and 14 rebounds. She finished the game shooting 10-of-18 from the field. She brought down five offensive rebounds en route to the 14 overall boards. In addition, the junior from Arlington, Virginia also had three assists and one steal.
Peterkin had a monster game defensively in the win over North Greenville on Feb. 25 with eight blocks and 15 rebounds. She just missed on a triple-double in the game as she also had 23 points in addition to four assists.
