Tobi Azeez of Mount Olive and Henrik Westhoff of Emmanuel Pick Up Men’s Volleyball Weekly Honors
GREENVILLE, S.C. – Tobi Azeez of Mount Olive and Henrik Westhoff of Emmanuel have been selected as the weekly award winners for Conference Carolinas men’s volleyball.
Azeez was tabbed as the Player of the Week, while Westhoff was named the Specialist of the Week.
A native of Melbourne in the state of Victoria in Australia, Azeez picked up over 20 kills in both of Mount Olive’s wins last week. Azeez, who hit .362 on the week, first finished with a double-double with 20 kills and 13 digs in a victory over Barton on Feb. 24. He followed that up by posting 25 kills and six digs in a victory over Emmanuel. Azeez also had five aces on the week.
A sophomore from Bocholt, Germany, Westhoff collected a double-double with 59 assists and 15 digs in a narrow five-set loss to Mount Olive. He also had three kills and one block in the match.
