Conference Carolinas Picks Up All-America Honor and Another Will Race for National Title at 2021 NCAA Division II Indoor Track & Field Championships

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Conference Carolinas picked up an All-American and another will race for a national title after qualifying on Friday at the 2021 NCAA Division II Indoor Track & Field Championships.
 
Emmanuel’s Jharna Alston posted the fourth-best qualifying time in the women’s 200m to advance to the finals. Alston posted a qualifying time of 24.59.
 
In the women’s 60m hurdles, Mount Olive’s McKenzie Connor just missed on a qualifying spot in the finals after posting a time of 8.95. In the women’s 60m, Alston with a time of 7.70 just missed on a qualifying spot in the finals as well.
 
In the men’s high jump, UNC Pembroke’s Orlandus Gamble earned All-America status with a jump of 2.01 meters. He is just the third in UNC Pembroke’s modern era in men’s track & field to earn indoor All-America accolades.
