Emmanuel Advances to First-Ever NCAA Division II Southeast Regional Championship Game
HARROGATE, Tenn. – In the sixth meeting between the two teams this season, fourth-seeded Emmanuel bested top-seeded Belmont Abbey, 76-53, to advance to its first-ever NCAA Division II Southeast Regional Championship Game.
The “Sweet Sixteen” appearance for Emmanuel comes after downing fifth-seeded Queens, 80-78, in the quarterfinals on Saturday before picking up the win over Belmont Abbey (

Postgame Press Conference) in the semifinals on Sunday.
The victory sets up a showdown between Emmanuel and second-seeded Lincoln Memorial in the regional championship game at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, March 16.
Belmont Abbey and Emmanuel originally split two non-conference games early in January before splitting their two conference matchups on Jan. 21 and Jan. 23. Belmont Abbey picked up the 2021 Conference Carolinas Men’s Basketball Championship last weekend with a win over Emmanuel in Franklin Springs, Georgia.
Emmanuel closed out the season series between the two at 3-3 with the win on Sunday.
