Emmanuel Closes Out Tremendous Season in Sweet Sixteen
HARROGATE, Tenn. – Emmanuel had its tremendous 2020-21 campaign come to a close in the final of the NCAA Division II Men’s Basketball Southeast Regional in a 103-67 loss to Lincoln Memorial.
The loss ends Emmanuel’s season with the Lions owning a 17-7 record overall. The Conference Carolinas regular season champions won their first two NCAA Division II Tournament games in program history en route to the regional final.
Four players for Emmanuel finished the regional final in double figures with Conference Carolinas Player of the Year KJ Jones II leading the way with 19 points. As a team, Emmanuel finished the game shooting 44.4 percent (24-of-54).
Jordan Guest of Lincoln Memorial led all in the game with 37 points. He knocked down 10 three-pointers. Lincoln Memorial shot 58.7 percent (37-of-63) as a team in its win.
