Breanna Locke of Emmanuel and Shanika Peterkin of Barton Selected to D2CCA All-America Team
GREENVILLE, S.C. – Breanna Locke of Emmanuel and Shanika Peterkin of Barton have been selected to the Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA) Women’s Basketball All-America Team.
Locke, a senior from Flowery Branch, Georgia, and Peterkin, a senior from Virginia Beach, Virginia, were both D2CCA third team selections.
Locke finished the past season averaging 22.3 points and 9.3 rebounds per game. She shot an impressive 52.5 percent (135-of-257) from the field over the course of the season.
The Conference Carolinas Player of the Year and Defensive Player of the Year, Peterkin averaged 17.9 points, 11.7 rebounds and 3.2 blocks per game. Peterkin was also incredibly strong from the field where she finished the year shooting 58.2 percent (107-of-184).
