Lindsay Bowles of King Tabbed Acrobatics & Tumbling Athlete of the Week
GREENVILLE, S.C. – Lindsay Bowles of King has been tabbed as the Conference Carolinas acrobatics & tumbling Athlete of the Week.
A junior from Advance, North Carolina, Bowles competed in 10 heats in King’s road conference win at No. 6 Converse. The road win allowed King to win the inaugural Conference Carolinas regular season championship.
Bowles first helped King set a program record compulsory event score of 37.70. She was a member of three compulsory heats, including a school-record pyramid heat score of 9.90. Bowles later competed in two acro heats, two pyramid heats and two toss heats. The Tornado scored 8.75 out of 9.00 in toss heat three. In the team event, King posted their third-highest score in program history, 94.94, to complete the come-from-behind win as the Tornado trailed nearly the entire meet until the team event.
