Sulaimane Bangura of Emmanuel and Jon Wojcuich of Mount Olive Chosen Weekly Award Winners for Men’s Outdoor Track & Field
GREENVILLE, S.C. - Sulaimane Bangura of Emmanuel and Jon Wojcuich of Mount Olive have been named the weekly award honorees for Conference Carolinas men’s outdoor track & field.
Bangura was selected as the Track Athlete of the Week, while Wojcuich was named the Field Athlete of the Week.
A senior from Conyers, Georgia, Bangura posted the top time in all of NCAA Division II this season in the 400 meters with a national qualifying time of 46.70 at the Weems Baskin Relays.
A senior from Beulaville, North Carolina, Wojcuich posted the best mark in Conference Carolinas this season in the hammer throw at 56.51m at the Fourth Annual Adidas Trojan Challenge. Wojcuich also captured the second-best mark so far in Conference Carolinas in the javelin at 46.18m.
