Currently ranked first and second in the latest NCAA Division II Southeast Region rankings and also ranked in the top 25 in the latest D2SIDA national rankings, the 2021 Conference Carolinas Women’s Basketball Championship Game will feature top-seeded Belmont Abbey (21-2, 15-1 Conference Carolinas) hosting second-seeded Barton (12-1, 10-1 Conference Carolinas) at 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 7, in Belmont, North Carolina.

Winners of 17 straight games, Belmont Abbey, who is also ranked 21st in the latest WBCA NCAA Division II poll, suffered its last loss of the season to Barton in an 82-73 loss on Friday, Jan. 15. Belmont Abbey began its current winning streak the next day with an 83-65 victory over Barton.

According to Conference Carolinas records, Belmont Abbey is looking for its sixth Conference Carolinas tournament title overall in its NCAA Division II era, but also its first since 2002. Barton last won the tournament title in 2018 and is aiming for its third tournament title overall.

The 2021 Conference Carolinas Men’s Basketball Championship Game will feature two of the top three ranked teams in the latest NCAA Division II Southeast Region rankings battling at 4 p.m. with top-seeded Emmanuel (15-5, 11-2 Conference Carolinas) hosting second-seeded Belmont Abbey (17-4, 13-3 Conference Carolinas) on Sunday, March 7, in Franklin Springs, Georgia.
