Leading the Way! Belmont Abbey and Barton Earn Top Two Seeds in NCAA Women’s Basketball Southeast Regional

JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. – Belmont Abbey and Barton will be the top two seeds in the NCAA Division II Women’s Basketball Southeast Regional.
Belmont Abbey earned the top spot in the region after picking up the regular season and tournament titles in Conference Carolinas.
As the top seed in the Southeast Region, Belmont Abbey will face the winner of the fourth-seeded Tusculum-fifth-seeded Tuskegee matchup in the regional semifinals at 8:45 p.m. on Saturday, March 13.
Barton as the No. 2 seed will face the winner of the third-seeded Carson-Newman-sixth-seeded Catawba quarterfinal in the semifinals at 6 p.m. on Saturday, March 13.
The regional championship game is scheduled for 6 p.m. on Monday, March 15.
Winners from the eight Division II regions will qualify for the 2021 DII women's basketball Elite Eight, which will take place from March 23-26 at Greater Columbus Convention Center in Columbus, Ohio.
The NCAA Division II Women’s Basketball Southeast Regional will be contested at Holt Fieldhouse on the campus of Carson-Newman in Jefferson City, Tennessee.
