Joshua Kim and JT Deppe of King Pick Up Men’s Volleyball Weekly Honors
GREENVILLE, S.C. – Joshua Kim and JT Deppe of King have earned the Conference Carolinas weekly awards for men’s volleyball.
Kim was named the Player of the Week, while Deppe was tabbed as the Specialist fo the Week.
A senior right side from Garden Grove, California, Kim was phenomenal last week for King, averaging 5.33 kills per set while hitting .296 in three matches. Kim also averaged 2.25 digs per set and 0.50 blocks per set. Kim posted two double-doubles in the three matches and punctuated his week by having one of the best single-match performances in Conference Carolinas and NCAA men’s volleyball history with 36 kills and 10 digs in a five-set win over Mount Olive. He finished the match hitting .433.
A senior setter from Mukwonago, Wisconsin, Deppe averaged 11.4 assists and 2.58 digs per set last week for King. Deppe finished his three matches on the week with 137 assists and 31 digs in total. He had two double-doubles and in King’s thrilling five-set win over Mount Olive, Deppe set a school record with 65 assists.
