Britney Augustin of Lees-McRae and Candise Lockett of Mount Olive Named Weekly Award Winners for Women’s Outdoor Track & Field

GREENVILLE, S.C. – Britney Augustin of Lees-McRae and Candise Lockett of Mount Olive picked up the first Conference Carolinas weekly honors for women’s outdoor track & field.
 
Augustin was named the Track Athlete of the Week, while Lockett earned Field Athlete of the Week honors.
 
A junior from North Port, Florida, Augustin won the 400-meter hurdles at the Susan Rouse Invitational with a time of 1:06.61. The time is currently the best in Conference Carolinas and eighth-best in NCAA Division II.
 
A senior from Birmingham, England, Lockett posted an NCAA provisional in the hammer throw with a mark of 54.59. The mark is currently the best in all of NCAA Division II.
