Converse Wins Inaugural Conference Carolinas Acrobatics & Tumbling Championship
BRISTOL, Tenn. – Third-seeded Converse bested top-seeded King, 273.080-266.905, to earn the team championship in the inaugural Conference Carolinas Acrobatics & Tumbling Championship.
Converse held a slight lead most of the meet, but in tumbling King mounted a charge to pull things close in favor of Converse, 174.950-173.325, entering the team event.
Both teams put together strong performances in the team event, but Converse was able to take the team title and capture the inaugural championship and its first Conference Carolinas Tournament Championship in any sport. It’s Converse’s second Conference Carolinas title overall with the women’s soccer team capturing the regular season crown in 2014.
Conference Carolinas also held the Acrobatics & Tumbling Event Finals on Sunday with Converse securing six event titles. Belmont Abbey, King and Limestone each picked up three. To see the full Event Finals results, please visit
