Jenn Smith and Angelina Perrone of Belmont Abbey Pick Up Women’s Lacrosse Weekly Honors
SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Jenn Smith and Angelina Perrone of Belmont Abbey have been named the weekly award winners for Conference Carolinas women’s lacrosse.
Smith was chosen as the Offensive Player of the Week, while Perrone was tabbed as the Defensive Player of the Week.
A junior from Bayport, New York, Smith finished with five goals and one assist in Belmont Abbey’s road win over Chowan. She also collected one ground ball.
A senior from Islip Terrace, New York, Perrone continued to show that despite being on attack that she is strong defensively last week by finishing with seven ground balls, five draw controls and four caused turnovers in the Belmont Abbey win over Chowan. Perrone also scored four goals and had an assist in the victory.
