Conference Carolinas Releases Spring Women’s Soccer All-Conference Honors
GREENVILLE, S.C. – Conference Carolinas has released its 2021 spring all-conference honors for women’s soccer.
The 2021 spring women’s soccer all-conference awards were chosen by the league’s head coaches.
A freshman from Columbus, Georgia, Faith Knoedler of North Greenville was chosen as the Conference Carolinas Offensive Player and Freshman of the Year. Knoedler led Conference Carolinas during league play in goals (nine) and points (19).
Knoedler joins Carolina Lucci of Chowan, who also accomplished the impressive feat in 2017. A first team all-conference performer this season, Lucci is now just the second in league history to be named Player of the Year, Freshman of the Year and be named all-conference for four straight seasons.
A senior from Port of Spain in Trinidad and Tobago, Shaunalee Govia has been selected as the Defensive Player of the Year for the second straight season. She is the first since the implementation of the award in 2012 to win the honor in back-to-back seasons.
Andy Robinson has been chosen as the Coach of the Year for the third time. Robinson, who led North Greenville to the No. 1 seed in the 2021 Conference Carolinas Spring Women’s Soccer Championship, was also named women’s soccer Coach of the Year in 2017 and 2018.
