Southern Wesleyan’s Ty Campbell Cards Opening Round 62; Barton in Lead After Day One at Conference Carolinas Men’s Golf Championship

SNOW HILL, N.C. – Barton is in the lead after the first round of play of the 2021 Conference Carolinas Men’s Golf Championship on the par 72, 6,994-yard setup at Cutter Creek Golf Club.
 
Barton carded an 8-under 280 as a team in round one to hold the first round advantage. Mount Olive is just behind at 282, while Southern Wesleyan is in third at 284.
 
Ty Campbell fired an incredibly impressive Southern Wesleyan school-record 10-under 62 in round one to hold the individual lead after the first day of play.
 
North Greenville’s Austin Duncan and Barton’s Kris Jackson are both tied for second individually after posting opening round tallies of 66.
 
The second of three scheduled rounds at the 2021 Conference Carolinas Men's Golf Championship gets underway at 9 a.m. on Monday.
