Three Individuals and Mount Olive Earn Spot in NCAA Division II South/Southeast Regional
INDIANAPOLIS - Three individuals and Conference Carolinas team champion Mount Olive will compete in the 2021 NCAA Division II Men's Golf South/Southeast Regional at the Streamsong Resort in Bowling Green, Florida.
The NCAA announced the field of 64 teams and 24 student-athletes competing as individuals that have been selected to participate in regional competition of the 2021 NCAA Division II Men’s Golf Championships recently. Regional play will be conducted May 6-8.
Mount Olive captured its first-ever Conference Carolinas Men's Golf Championship to earn a spot in the field. In addition, Austin Duncan and Evans Lewis of North Greenville and Conference Carolinas Golfer of the Year Alberto Avila of Erskine have earned a spot in the regional.
The top four teams from each super regional and the top individual not with a team from each super regional will advance to the finals May 17-21 at PGA National Resort; The Champion Course in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. The finals will be hosted by Palm Beach Atlantic University and Palm Beach County Sports Commission.
