Dayan Reinoso of Erskine and Caleb Peterson of Chowan Named Weekly Award Winners for Baseball
GREENVILLE, S.C. – Dayan Reinoso of Erskine and Caleb Peterson of Chowan have been selected as the weekly award honorees for Conference Carolinas baseball.
Reinoso was named the Player of the Week, while Peterson picked up Pitcher of the Week honors.
A junior from Hazelton, Pennsylvania, Reinoso finished Erskine’s four-game sweep of King hitting .471 (8-of-17) with 10 RBIs and four runs scored. Reinoso slugged 1.059 in the four-game series. Reinoso concluded the four-game set with five extra-base hits on two home runs, two doubles and one triple.
A redshirt junior from Urbana, Ohio, Peterson allowed just two runs on four hits in Chowan’s win over Southern Wesleyan. In his seven innings on the hill, Peterson struck out 10.
