Lauren Ritchie of Lees-McRae and Mallory Ratcliff of Mount Olive Pick Up Softball Weekly Honors
GREENVILLE, S.C. – Lauren Ritchie of Lees-McRae and Mallory Ratcliff of Mount Olive have been selected as the weekly award winners for Conference Carolinas softball.
Ritchie was named the Player of the Week, while Ritchie was selected Pitcher of the Week.
A freshman from China Grove, North Carolina, Ritchie was 6-for-6 at the dish in a doubleheader sweep of Bluefield State. She had six RBIs and scored four runs. In addition, the freshman had four extra-base hits with two doubles, one triple and one home run.
A senior from Fredericksburg, Virginia, Ratcliff struck out six in a dominant performance in the circle in a win over conference foe Chowan. Ratcliff allowed just one hit in a complete-game shutout win.
