Tobi Azeez and Jarrod Ferguson of Mount Olive Tabbed Weekly Award Winners for Men’s Volleyball
GREENVILLE, S.C. – Tobi Azeez and Jarrod Ferguson of Mount Olive have been chosen the weekly award winners for Conference Carolinas men’s volleyball.
Azeez was tabbed as the Player of the Week, while Ferguson was selected as the Specialist of the Week.
A junior from Melbourne in Victoria, Australia, Azeez helped lead Mount Olive to its first Conference Carolinas regular-season title since 2013 by finishing with 22 kills and 15 digs in a win over Erskine on Friday, April 2. Azeez, who hit .462 in the match, also had five service aces.
A junior from Auckland, New Zealand, Ferguson finished with 45 assists in Mount Olive’s championship-clinching win over Erskine. He also had seven digs and three total blocks to go along with a kill in the victory.
