Mount Olive Men’s Lacrosse Closes Out Tremendous 2021 Campaign in Opening Round of NCAA Division II South Regional

HICKORY, N.C. – Fourth-seeded Mount Olive closed its 2021 campaign with a 24-8 loss to fifth-seeded Tampa in the opening round of the NCAA Division II Men’s Lacrosse South Regional.
 
Mount Olive (11-3) kept things close in the second half with the Trojans only outscored, 9-6, in the half, but it was not enough in the win for the Spartans.
 
Eight different players scored for Mount Olive in the game. Mike Marto collected six ground balls for Mount Olive.
 
Jack Wood, Ben French and Daniel Fitzpatrick led Tampa (10-0) with four goals each. Wood had six assists, while French had five.
