Belmont Abbey Captures 2021 Conference Carolinas Spring Men's Soccer Championship

FLORENCE, S.C.- Sixth-seeded Belmont Abbey captured the 2021 Conference Carolinas Spring Men's Soccer Championship with a 1-0 victory over second-seeded Barton on Sunday, May 2 at the Florence Soccer Complex. 

The Conference Carolinas Tournament title was the second overall and the first since 2005 for Belmont Abbey men's soccer. 

Nathan Deimling collected the game-winning goal for Belmont Abbey in the 69th minute. He was assisted by Aaron Madison. 

The two teams played extremely close the entire time, but Belmont Abbey finished with a 9-4 shot advantage over Barton.
