North Greenville Wins 2021 Conference Carolinas Baseball Championship
WILSON, N.C. - North Greenville fought back through the elimination bracket to win two games on the final day of the 2021 Conference Carolinas Baseball Championship to claim the championship over Mount Olive at Fleming Stadium.
North Greenville started the day taking down the red-hot #5 Barton Bulldogs, 13-2, to advance to the championship game as #1 Mount Olive awaited.

North Greenville extinguished the red-hot Barton Bulldogs for a spot in the championship game with a 13-2 victory in the first game of the day.
North Greenville started the scoring early by posting five runs in the opening two innings as John Michael Faile hit a two-run shot in the second inning to lead 5-1.
The Crusaders tacked on four more runs to extend their lead to 9-1 as Pat Monteith and Douglas Angeli hit home runs in the fifth inning. NGU scored three more runs in the sixth to lead 12-2.
Brayden Olson led Barton with a 3-for-4 day at the plate. NGU's Ethan Garner tossed a complete game with nine strikeouts.

North Greenville took full advantage of free passes and miscues as the Crusaders claimed the championship by a score of 15-1.
NGU's John Michael Faile provided the offense for the Crusaders hitting a home run in the first and third innings.
North Greenville cashed in on a pair of errors and wild pitches in the fourth inning to plate five runs with two outs to extend their lead to 7-0. Josh Senter hit a solo home run in the fifth inning as the Crusaders batted around to lead 12-0.
Alan Alonso broke up the shutout in the top of the eighth inning with a solo home run.
Reece Fields tossed six strong innings for North Greenville scattering five hits to pick up the win.
